In my last post about “Team” BoldWater I mentioned our love of good friends and food. Derek, Gary, Alden, Cory and Marlin Redwine enjoyed some downtime with Rhett Fischer (Rusty’s Seafood & Oyster Bar, Port Canaveral-FL). Rhett and Derek are longtime friends who also love to help each other’s business grow and succeed. BoldWater is honored to have such a down to earth friend, like Rhett. We created a few t-shirt designs over the years that are hot sellers at the restaurant and the shirt re-orders remain steady, which is a gratifying feeling for Derek being the artist. In August 2008, Derek had his first solo art exhibit at Rusty’s Seafood and the turn out was remarkable for both the show and the restaurant. It was thanks to the push of Rhett that made Derek show off his talent.
Often times our lives get busy and we have few and far between visits with the friends we cherish the most. So it’s always the BoldWater way to document those moments when they do happen and share the good times. The Redwines had Rhett over for a little fishing off the backyard dock, good wine, doggie playtime and yummy seafood pasta while catching up on life. Raleigh(Rhett’s hunt terrier) and Marlin(the Redwines rat terrier), had the most fun of all the bunch. The two pups became instant best friends and happily entertained the entire crew throughout the evening.
As everyone knows, businesses all over have felt some impact with the economy… even the best of the best. Although times are up and down, it’s your friends who keep you motivated and encouraged. BoldWater would like to thank one of those friends and business owners for the business you give us and the referrals you send us. We appreciate Rhett and his team over at Rusty’s Seafood. Thank you!

Derek Redwine, owner of BoldWater and Sam Root with Salty Shores met up with Greg Dini (Fly Water Expeditions) in Venice, Louisiana to do some fishing this week. The guys had one little concern- Tropical Storm Ida stirring up some unpleasant and non-fishable weather, but they remained optimistic. After arriving, the first day was stormy with 30 mph winds which forced them to find something other than fishing to keep them occupied. The day wasn’t wasted as Derek, Sam, Greg and crew visited the local aquarium after adding in some work hours while the weather wouldn’t submit. Day two was when the fun began, it seems that the sun decided it was time to shine and the water wanted to keep calm so it was go time. From the pictures taken by Sam Root (Salty Shores) and the smile on Derek’s face… Greg put them on some good Louisiana fishing spots.

Congratulations to Adrian Martinez, owner of

His 36’ Torres is an extremely spacious, stable boat to spend a day fishing and relaxing in the Florida sun. Well-equipped with the latest electronics and USCG safety equipment, the Relentless II has a reputation for bringing in the fish.
